Key Account Manager – Gaming, Betting, & Gambling job – Highly competitive salary – Remote, South Africa

Our client, a growing player in the iGaming and sports betting industry, is looking for a commercially driven Key Account Manager to join their team on a remote basis from South Africa.

This is a high-impact role for someone who knows how to build strong client relationships, unlock account growth, and keep partners engaged in a competitive, fast-paced betting environment.

As Key Account Manager, you will manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts, acting as the key point of contact between the business and its most important partners. You will be responsible for relationship management, commercial performance, account planning, issue resolution, and identifying new opportunities to drive revenue and long-term value.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will manage key client and partner relationships across the iGaming and sports betting ecosystem, ensuring accounts are supported, engaged, and commercially successful.
  • You will develop account plans that focus on growth, retention, performance improvement, and stronger partner collaboration.
  • You will work closely with internal teams across sales, operations, product, marketing, payments, customer support, compliance, and technology to ensure client needs are delivered quickly and professionally.
  • You will monitor account performance, track KPIs, identify risks, and take proactive steps to improve commercial outcomes.
  • You will lead regular client check-ins, business reviews, performance updates, and strategic conversations.
  • You will identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities, helping clients get more value from the company’s products, platforms, services, or solutions.
  • You will act as the client’s internal advocate, making sure their priorities are understood while keeping commercial discipline firmly in place.
  • You will keep a close eye on market trends, competitor activity, client feedback, and emerging opportunities within the betting and gaming sector.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in key account management, account management, customer success, partner management, business development, or commercial relationship management.
  • Experience in the iGaming, sports betting, online casino, payments, fintech, SaaS, affiliate marketing, platform provider, or B2B technology sector would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of how to manage and grow commercial client relationships.
  • Proven ability to identify upsell, cross-sell, retention, and account expansion opportunities.
  • Experience preparing account plans, performance reports, business reviews, and client presentations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, especially when managing escalations, service issues, or complex client requirements.
  • Commercially focused, with a clear understanding of revenue, retention, profitability, KPIs, and client lifetime value.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems, reporting tools, spreadsheets, dashboards, and account tracking processes.
  • Highly organised, detail-driven, and able to manage competing priorities across multiple accounts.
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment while staying visible, responsive, and accountable.
  • Strong internal collaboration skills, with the ability to work across sales, product, operations, support, compliance, marketing, and technology teams.
  • Knowledge of betting operators, gaming platforms, payment flows, affiliate models, player acquisition, retention, or regulated gaming markets would be a strong advantage.
