Business Development Manager – iGaming, Betting, & Gambling job – Highly competitive salary – Remote, South Africa

Ready to Help Shape the Next Chapter of iGaming in Africa?

Africa is one of the hottest growth markets in global iGaming right now — and our client is right at the center of it. A powerhouse B2B platform provider with serious technology, serious ambition, and a reputation for winning, they’re on the hunt for a Business Development Manager who’s hungry to make their mark across the continent.

This isn’t a “wait for leads to land in your inbox” kind of role. This is a build-something-big opportunity — for someone who thrives on the chase, loves closing deals, and wants real ownership over a region bursting with potential.

About Our Client:

Our client is an established, award-winning B2B iGaming platform provider with a strong international presence and a track record of innovation across casino, sportsbook, and adjacent gaming verticals. Their technology underpins a broad and respected portfolio of operator brands globally, and Africa has been identified as a key strategic priority for the next phase of their growth. They’re investing real budget, headcount, and leadership attention into the region — which means this hire will have genuine influence over how that strategy unfolds.

Why This Role Is Different:

Forget being just another sales rep pushing software. You’ll be walking into rooms as a strategic partner, backed by a platform that operators actually want to talk to — innovative, proven, and built for scale. If you know the African iGaming space, or you’re desperate to break into it and make a name for yourself, this is your moment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Business Development & Sales
  • Proactively identifying, prospecting, and engaging new operator partnerships across Africa’s casino and sports betting markets
  • Building and owning a robust, well-qualified sales pipeline — from first outreach through negotiation to signed contract
  • Structuring and presenting commercial proposals, including pricing models, platform capabilities, and integration timelines
  • Negotiating commercial terms and contracts in collaboration with legal and senior leadership
  • Consistently hitting and exceeding new business revenue targets and KPIs

Relationship & Account Management

  • Building long-term, consultative relationships with operators, positioning the platform as a genuine growth partner rather than a transactional vendor
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for prospective clients throughout the sales cycle
  • Working closely with onboarding and account management teams to ensure a smooth handover post-signing
  • Gathering client feedback and market intelligence to feed back into product and commercial strategy
  • Market & Industry Engagement
  • Representing the brand at regional industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities across Africa
  • Building and maintaining a strong personal network of operators, affiliates, and industry stakeholders
  • Keeping a finger on the pulse of Africa’s evolving regulatory environment, licensing frameworks, and competitive landscape across key markets (e.g. South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, and other emerging jurisdictions)
  • Providing regular market reports and competitive insights to internal stakeholders

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partnering closely with product, compliance, and marketing teams to tailor pitches and platform positioning to local market needs and regulatory requirements
  • Feeding into regional go-to-market strategy and helping shape how the business prioritizes markets within Africa
  • Collaborating with marketing on localized campaigns, event sponsorships, and lead generation initiatives

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Proven business development or sales experience within iGaming, sports betting, or online gambling — ideally in a B2B/platform provider context
  • Demonstrable experience selling into or operating within African markets
  • A strong, active network of operator, affiliate, or industry contacts across the African iGaming landscape
  • A natural closer’s instinct — confident, consultative, and comfortable selling complex, technical B2B solutions to senior stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of the sales cycle for enterprise software/platform deals, including contract negotiation
  • Total self-starter energy — comfortable working autonomously, managing your own diary, and hitting targets without close supervision
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly for client meetings, industry events, and conferences across the region
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)

Highly Desirable

  • Additional language skills relevant to African markets — French, Portuguese, or Arabic
  • Existing relationships with African-facing operators, affiliates, or payment providers
  • Familiarity with regulatory and licensing frameworks across key African jurisdictions
  • Experience working remotely as part of a distributed, international team
  • A degree in business, marketing, or a related field (not essential if experience compensates)

What’s In It For You:

  • 100% remote — work from anywhere within the Africa region, structured around your productivity
  • A front-row seat with one of the industry’s most respected platform providers, at a pivotal moment of regional expansion
  • Competitive base salary, benchmarked to experience and market
  • Uncapped commission structure — your earning potential is genuinely in your hands
  • Budget and support for travel to client meetings and major industry events
  • Real career runway — this role has a clear path toward regional leadership as the Africa strategy scales
  • Exposure to cutting-edge casino, sportsbook, and broader gaming technology
  • A driven, international, collaborative team culture that moves fast and celebrates wins
  • Ongoing professional development and access to internal product/sales training

What Success Looks Like:

Within your first 3–6 months, you’ll have built a solid pipeline of qualified operator prospects, closed your first new partnerships, and established yourself as a trusted, credible voice in the region’s iGaming community. Longer term, you’ll be a key architect of the company’s African growth story — with the track record and relationships to match.
