About the Role
We are seeking a data-driven and performance-focused Media Buyer / User Acquisition Specialist to drive growth across mobile app and digital acquisition channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing paid media campaigns across multiple traffic sources, with a strong focus on mobile app marketing, programmatic advertising, and performance-driven acquisition strategies.
This role requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable managing budgets, analysing performance data, testing creatives, and identifying new opportunities to scale user acquisition while maintaining profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Mobile App Marketing
- Plan, launch, and optimize mobile user acquisition campaigns across ad networks, DSPs, and native advertising platforms.
- Manage mobile measurement and attribution platforms such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, or similar tools.
- Configure and monitor attribution, event tracking, deep linking, and SKAdNetwork (SKAN) requirements.
- Develop and execute creative testing strategies across static, video, and playable ad formats to improve acquisition performance.
- Monitor and optimize key performance metrics including CPI, ROAS, retention, engagement, and customer lifetime value.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve user quality and post-install performance.
Programmatic Advertising
- Build, manage, and optimize programmatic campaigns across DSP platforms such as DV360, The Trade Desk, or similar solutions.
- Develop audience targeting strategies, prospecting campaigns, retargeting initiatives, and private marketplace (PMP) deals.
- Manage audience segmentation and deal structures to maximize campaign effectiveness.
- Analyse campaign performance metrics including viewability, conversion attribution, win rates, and engagement data.
- Scale successful campaigns through data-led optimisation and audience refinement.
Ad Networks & Traffic Sources
- Manage performance campaigns across a variety of advertising networks and traffic sources.
- Negotiate and manage direct media placements and commercial agreements including CPM, CPC, CPA, and hybrid models.
- Monitor traffic quality and campaign integrity, identifying fraud risks and ensuring effective targeting across geographies, devices, and audience segments.
- Research, evaluate, and onboard new traffic sources and network partners to diversify acquisition channels and support business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with network representatives and media partners.
Campaign Management & Performance Optimisation
- Manage campaign budgets, bidding strategies, pacing, and daily performance monitoring.
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Analytics teams to improve user journeys, creative performance, and conversion funnels.
- Deliver regular performance reporting with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Analyse trends, identify growth opportunities, and implement optimisation strategies across all acquisition channels.
- Stay informed of industry developments, platform updates, privacy regulations, attribution changes, and competitor activity.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in Media Buying, Performance Marketing, or User Acquisition with a strong focus on mobile app campaigns.
- Demonstrated experience managing and optimising campaigns across DSP platforms and programmatic advertising environments.
- Strong understanding of mobile attribution platforms including AppsFlyer, Adjust, or equivalent solutions.
- Experience configuring attribution, event tracking, cohort analysis, and campaign measurement frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and make informed decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, reporting tools, and performance dashboards.
- Proven experience managing advertising budgets and delivering measurable ROI.
- Excellent communication skills with a high level of self-motivation and accountability.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Advantageous Experience
The following experience would be highly beneficial:
- Experience within the online gambling, sports betting, casino, or iGaming sectors.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements across multiple international markets.
- Experience working with performance-focused traffic networks such as ExoClick, TrafficStars, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to a broad range of DSPs, ad exchanges, and alternative acquisition channels.
- Knowledge of creative production processes for mobile advertising, including video assets, HTML5 banners, playable ads, and performance creative testing.
