What You’ll Be Doing
As the Social Media Manager, you will own the brand’s social media presence across key platforms, creating content that drives awareness, engagement, loyalty, and customer growth.
You will be responsible for planning, creating, publishing, monitoring, and optimising social media content across Nigeria’s highly competitive sports betting market.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing the social media strategy for the Nigerian market
- Managing day-to-day content across platforms such as X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp, Telegram, and other relevant channels
- Creating engaging sports, betting, lifestyle, promotional, and community-led content
- Reacting quickly to live sports moments, trending topics, breaking news, match outcomes, and viral conversations
- Building and managing online communities around football, betting, casino, promotions, and brand campaigns
- Working closely with marketing, CRM, affiliate, design, product, and trading teams to align content with business objectives
- Planning social media calendars around major sporting events, league fixtures, campaigns, promotions, and product launches
- Writing sharp, engaging copy that fits the Nigerian betting audience and each platform’s tone
- Briefing designers, video editors, influencers, and content creators on campaign assets
- Monitoring comments, messages, sentiment, and community activity
- Tracking content performance, engagement, reach, follower growth, conversion, and campaign impact
- Identifying content trends, competitor activity, influencer opportunities, and emerging platform behaviours
- Ensuring all content is aligned with brand standards, compliance requirements, responsible gambling guidelines, and local regulations
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a creative, commercially aware, and culturally tuned-in Social Media Manager who understands the speed and personality of the Nigerian digital landscape.
You should bring:
- Proven experience in social media management, ideally within iGaming, sports betting, entertainment, sport, fintech, media, agency, or consumer-facing digital brands
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian sports betting audience and local social media behaviour
- Excellent knowledge of football culture, betting conversations, fan communities, sports trends, and online banter
- Experience managing social channels including X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp, and Telegram
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone by platform and audience
- Experience creating content calendars, campaign plans, promotional posts, live sports content, and community engagement activity
- Ability to interpret performance data and optimise content based on results
- Strong understanding of social media analytics, engagement metrics, reach, sentiment, and conversion
- Experience working with designers, video editors, influencers, agencies, and internal marketing teams
- Ability to move quickly, think creatively, and stay calm during busy sporting periods
- A good eye for design, video, memes, short-form content, and platform-native storytelling
- Knowledge of responsible gambling, advertising compliance, and regulated industries would be an advantage
