Content & Community Manager – Marketing & Communications job – Market related salary – Cape Town, South Africa (Hybrid)

There is a wider marketing team based in the London office, and your role will be focussed on the brand that focuses on Africa & the Middle East.

Your key job responsibilities as the Content & Community Manager in Cape Town (Hybrid) will include:

  • Daily monitoring and community management across various platforms
  • Building and maintaining content calendars, ensuring posts align with social media best practices
  • Responding to social media queries and comments in line with brand tone and guidelines
  • Scheduling and posting content accurately and timely
  • Analyzing, reviewing, and contributing to the delivery of Social Media reports
  • Developing creative and engaging content
  • Copywriting for various platforms
  • Actively participating in social media event coverage, both during and after work hours in line with regulations
  • Identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to engage our followers at a deeper level
  • Reading and understanding Content Strategy Documents, giving input where you feel you can add value
  • Contributing fresh and original ideas to elevate our brand
  • Collaborating with the head office marketing team
  • Actively participating in the design and creation of visual content

Requirements for this Content & Community Manager job in Cape Town (Hybrid):

  • Relevant qualification
  • Passionate and extroverted personality with an infectious energy
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X etc.) and current trends
  • Experience with tools such as Meta, Hootsuite, and Canva
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting
