Facilities Building Manager – Property & Construction job – Market related salary – Cape Town, South Africa

A property group in Cape Town have an exciting job opportunity for a Facilities Building Manager to join their team. The Facilities Building Manager will assist the Facilities Operations Manager with the attainment of the business unit’s objectives, the creation and maintenance of the infrastructure, the establishment of standards of service, and the provision of amenities that create the working environment that supports the operating needs of all tenants

Your key job responsibilities as the Facilities Building Manager in Cape Town will include:

  • To ensure the day-to-day provision of soft services and building maintenance services to clients in the managed site/s
  • Produce and analyse monthly service reports and submit to Operations manager
  • Conduct daily, weekly and monthly service inspections to ensure agreed standards are being met
  • Preparation and submission of annual budgets of expenditure (operating and capital expenditure) for the managed site/s
  • Approval of expenditure, as required, in line with the authority limits
  • Ensuring that building related records are up to date, audited monthly, quarterly, annually and accessible on site e.g. emergency contact details, emergency evacuation plans, lease information, annual service schedule, site risk assessments, building condition assessments
  • Preparation and submission of monthly Business Review reports, and the provision of information to Operations Manager
  • Prepare for monthly Financial management report meetings to ensure adherence to budgets
  • To maintain harmonious relationships with clients, internal and external business partners at the managed site/s
  • Improving client relationships with all relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor and enforce occupational health and safety standards as well as serve on the emergency and disaster recovery teams on the managed sites

Requirements for this Facilities Building Manager job in Cape Town:

  • National Diploma Generic Management
  • 5-7 Years’ experience
  • The ability to determine services required by building occupants and contract and deliver those services
