A leading international tech company have a great job opportunity for an Accounts Payable Associate Manager to join their team in Cape Town. The Accounts Payable Associate Manager will supervise the accounts payable function including vendor management, travel and expense (T&E), credit card administration, and cash disbursements.

Your key job responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Associate Manager in Cape Town will include:

  • Supervise accounts payable function including vendor management, T&E, credit card administration, and cash disbursements. Ensure accurate and timely workflow of Accounts Payable processes
  • Responsible for the hiring, directing, training, and development of accounts payable staff to ensure operational excellence is continually met. Plans, organizes, and monitors the use of resources required to provide cost effective/quality services within the financial, operational, and quality parameters assigned
  • Assist and support with operational and procedural issues
  • Monitor, track, and redefine internal processes with a view to strive for “best in class” processes. Plan and implement necessary system/process changes used to increase efficiencies to meet company’s operational and financial objectives
  • Assist with developing processes / systems to measure, evaluate and improve departmental and individual productivity
  • Direct the implementation, analysis, and evaluation of policies and procedures to drive efficiencies in cost and accuracy including those to govern the payment of company invoices to the advantage of the organization in terms of cash flow and discounts

Requirements for this Accounts Payable Associate Manager job in Cape Town:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Accounting
  • Minimum of 7 years of finance/accounting or related experience
  • Experience working in a Shared Services environment is a plus
  • Proven management and leadership skills
  • Strong analytic and strategic problem solving ability
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate cross function and throughout all levels
  • Teamwork – contributes to building a positive team environment
